I can't believe that Christmas has been and gone, and to be quite honest it really feels like it hasn't been Christmas; well except for the food!

As you may or may not know, I am a very noisy person and love reading 'What I got for Christmas' blog posts, or watching videos on Youtube, so of course I was going to write mine as well. If you have shared your Christmas gifts as well, don't forget to link them below.

This year my main present was the incredibly beautiful GHD V Gold Copper Luxe Styler. My old hair straighteners had kept turning off, so these were on the top of my wish list this year and luckily enough they were sitting under the tree on Christmas Day. Can we just take a moment please to admire just how pretty they are! I also received a few books: Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and Fleur De Force 'The Luxe Life'. Now I may not be the biggest HP fan in the world, but I adore the books so I can't wait to read the two newest books in my collection.

Make Up. Make Up. Make Up.

I was also very lucky to receive quite a bit of make up, whether that has high end or drug store. The main surprise for me was the Urban Decay Ultimate Basic's palette, which I had no idea about. This palette is simply beautiful, from the packaging to the actually eyeshadows, and I can't wait to have a little play about with them. Continuing on the palette theme, I also got a L'oreal palette and a No. 7 palette as part of a gift set. As well as these, I also received one of Tanya Burr's Christmas gift set which was also simply stunning.

Of course there was also a Benefit gift set as well, this year it was the 'Bigger & Bolder Brows' set, which although is in the wrong colour everything inside is what I use on a daily basis.

Finally one of my favourite gifts was Chloe 'Love Story' perfume in the 75ml version, which should last me the entire year.

I also received some lovely stocking presents as well, as well as some more Real Technique brushes and two Soap & Glory sets.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and got everything you wished for!

2016 is a year were my blog has really quite grown, yes it is not massive, but from going from 8000 overall views at the beginning of January to just hitting 40,000 overall views just at the beginning of this month is quite insane for me. I may have not been the best blogger of the year, and may have slightly neglected this little space on the internet for the last couple of months, with university and work, but I know in 2017 I am going to get back on it.

So let's have a little look back at the year:

September: 'Autumn Lips'

October: 'Purpose Tour'

Happy Christmas Eve!!

For me Christmas Day is all about getting glammed up, although I will just be spending quality time with my family. I enjoy doing my make up all fancy and wearing something glittery, because let's face it Christmas Day is the day to get all sparkly and festive.

While some families stay in their pyjamas all day, my family like to get dressed up. We always have done for as long as I can remember, so my christmas make up is equally important as well.

My go-to Christmas make up is actually simple, just with a little bit of sparkle because ya' know it's Christmas.

This years eye make up will be all about that bronze, and incorporating two of my 2016 favourite products: MAC Sable eyeshadow and Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in 'Bronzed Garnet'. These two will do make the perfect combination. I like to apple the CT colour chameleon first all over my eyelids before adding some of the MAC eyeshadow over the top, for a real pop on the eyes. Plus having green eyes, this combination does make me eyes look rather good as well. To finish off the eye look I will be applying my FAVOURITE eyeliner from L'oreal, which has had a good ol' mention on the blog before.

In terms of my actually face (the base I haven't covered because not quite sure on that one yet), I will be using my NARS 'Orgasm' blush, which yes is really worth that hype. For highlight I am going quite simple and will just be using my Becca 'Champagne Pop' in the creme version, for just a hint of glow.

A Red Lip for Christmas?

Of course a red lip will be happening on Christmas Day, even if it does mean having to reapply it a million times to make sure my lips look good in photos. This years red is quite a dark red, in the form of MAC 'Dare You', which I actually brought for christmas a few years back and just seems to be my christmas go to.

Do you know what make up you will be applying on Christmas Day yet?

2016 IN 10 MOMENTS

Why is it, the older you get the quicker the years go?

I remember when I was in year 7 (holla 2008 & '09) and the year kinda just dragged by, and nothing really happened, but perhaps that was because I wasn't struck down with a *smart* phone, a laptop and any form of social media. Them days.

2016 on the other hand, was kinda just this big blur of stuff, but actually quite a lot happened.

1. Flying to the Big Apple with my mum. Now that is a highlight of 2016. I had wanted to go to NYC for as long as I could remember, and then back in June it finally happened. Four wonderful days in the city that never sleeps. Exploring Central park, eating the best cheesecake (and pulled pork burger - Check out Heartland Brewery for that one), seeing Broadway shows, seeing the city from above and going shopping on fifth. Could you ask for anything more.

2. Having a thing for Afternoon Tea, whether thats mouth watering expensive, or chip as chips, both Afternoon Teas have been a delight. London you were amaze with that Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea, but Ipswich you were also a star with that massive homemade scone and generous slices of cake for over half the price of London. Now, i'm hungry again.

3. Finishing my first year of university with a 2:1!!! Okay I probably would have liked a first, but hey I still have another two and a half years of university left. Yes, my first year wasn't as spectacular as I would have liked, but it was still an experience I will never forget. Oh them drunken fresher moments that I honestly can not remember, or the slightly shitter Summer Ball memories when no one was actually interested and I just wanted to get drunk and stay out later than half 1. Oh well.

4. Finally owning my own car and driving around all over the place. I may have passed in 2015, but I didn't get my first little car till august. Well actually it wasn't my first car, but that it a whole other story. Anyway, I am now a proud owner of my little metallic sliver Corsa.

5. When you are 19 you just don't have sleepovers like you do when you are 13, but this October me and my friends broke that tradition and actually had a sleepover. All 7 of us sleeping on the sofa and falling asleep at just gone midnight because lets face it we are all get quite old now.

6. Going back to working at my old store. Yes I was actually exicted about going to work back at my old store. The people are so much nicer and friendly my first store in Clacton, and dont make me work every Sunday so I can't actually do anything with my weekends.

7. Spending my 19th Birthday in Spain, in a hotel where no one could speak english and getting drunk on overly strong Barcadi and Coke. YAY to my last year as being a teenager.

8. Watching my best friends sister get married. Yes, I know this is probably a strange one, but I had known the bride since I was three and it was such a beautiful wedding that honestly I couldn't exclude from the list. Plus, I hadn't actually been to a wedding in about 10 years.

9. Finally getting involved in University life. No I don't mean the social going out at night thing, I mean joining a sports club. I joined Lacrosse back in October and honestly I am so glad I did. I have now played in three games and picked up a new sport that I actually enjoy. Plus the people are lovely.

10. Could I really do this list without including the PURPOSE WORLD TOUR & JUSTIN BIEBER. Yes, I saw the Purpose Tour twice and both times were incredible. The first time on the 11th October I was 5 rows from the stage. Then the second time on the 28th November, my friend let me down and my parents had already payed from parking so they wanted to go in, so on the M25 I managed to get a pit ticket (i.e the front row) and it was the best £120 I have every payed. He touched my hand and sung to me during Hold Tight because ya girl was the only one singing along and wasn't holding a phone to his face. BEST NIGHTS EVER!!!

That was actually harder than I had ever imagined. Like there was so many things I could have included. I mean 2016 wasn't exactly the best year of my life, but it was pretty good and I can't wait to see what 2017 holds.

What has 2016 brought to you?

Looking for that last minute Christmas Dress, for the party you forget all about? Or something glamours for Christmas Day? Or perhaps you have yet to find your New Years Eve dress? Well I think I might have found the perfect dress!!

Wednesday, 21 December 2016

Christmas is only 5 days away, and although it still does not quite feel like Christmas yet, there are a couple of things that really get me in a Christmas mood.

1. Christmas Films
Is there anything better than watching a Christmas film? For me I love watching 'The Holiday', it is honestly one of my favourite films ever. Yes, I will repeat EVER, because man I love that film. There is something telling me inside that it is probably because of Jude Law (like who doesn't have a major crush on him in that film, damn, thats all I am going to say). I also love 'The Santa Clause', it is very 90's and I could watch it a million times and still love it.

2. Costa Hot Chocolate
Okay what am I staying, any hot chocolate this time of the year is the bomb. Personally, nothing for me can beat the Black Forest Hot Chocolate from Costa Coffee. It is seriously amazing and if you haven't tried it, then where have you been and why are you not going to Costa right now to pick one up!!

3. The Christmas Dinner
If anyone says that this isn't their favourite part of Christmas Day, then you must be mad. Can you really beat the Turkey roast dinner with all the trimmings; pigs in blankets, yorkshire pudding, bacon, stuffing. Yes, yes, yes!!! Also, all that christmas food.

4. Wrapping Presents
I am the one person who likes to do all the wrapping in my house. I will be the one sitting on the floor, wrapping paper one side of me, bows, ribbons and tags to another and a whole host of presents to wrap. My mum gets me to wrap all the presents she has brought, except mine because you know wouldn't be a surprise otherwise. I just really enjoy wrapping christmas presents and making them look all cute and pretty.

What do you love about Christmas?

With only five days to go before the big day rolls in for another year, the feeling that you need to buy last minute christmas presents has begun; whether that is for a certain someones stocking, the office secret santa or the need for the extra gift to go with another present.

Socks. Yes they maybe seen to be boring and the gift no one wants, but in all honestly I love receiving socks for christmas. Socks are not something that I will go and buy myself, and I just love christmas socks and I will rock them in July as well. My personal favourites are from Topshop, but for something a little more luxurious, then The White Company is the place to go.

Now you really can not go wrong with a bath bomb from Lush can you? Everyone loves a good bath, and even if they deny it they are probably lying. Plus they just smell so nice, whether you have put one in a stocking or put it under the tree, you know it will go down well.

As it is winter and there is one product that everyone seems to forget about until it snows; a hat! Yes I am one of them people who wishes they had asked for a wholly hat when it starts to snow. H&M have this cutie little wholly hat for £7.99, but you can also pick them up in most high street stores.

As for a beauty gift, but you don't want to break the bank, then a Barry M palette will do the trick. I have picked up the 'Super Natural' palette from Superdrug, but if you pick up two Barry M eyeshadow palettes you will get two free nail varnishes as well. So if you have some friends that need last minute presents then you kinda can get them all something for under £15.

Finally, the gift that all stationary lovers will love, a Paperchase notebook set. Can you really resist three A5 notebooks with a golden trim and pretty patterns on the front. Plus as much as one relies on their phone to write down notes, writing ideas in a notebook is something that I honestly love to do.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?

Can you believe that it is less than a week till Christmas Day? Me neither! It only feels like yesterday then 2016 begun, but 2016 is nearing an end, and with Christmas approaching very quick, I have created a list of three luxury beauty gifts that any beauty obsessed girl would love.

You really can not go wrong with a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, whether you are buying for your Mum, best friend or Grandma, it just screams luxury and really is the perfect gift. I mean everything with the packaging to the formula of the lipstick it's self. Whether you have no idea what to get, or simply want to buy a little something extra, you know a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick will go down a treat. My personal favourite is 'Bond Girl'.

For the girl who likes her eyeshadow then an Urban Decay palette is probably your best choice. For me, I personally love the Naked Smoky palette, as it really does have a bit of everything going on. From shimmers to mattes, to your dark purples and your light beige, there is something that you can where daily and something to wear for a night out (maybe NYE).

Finally, the gift of perfume, and my chosen one is Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, there is something quite delightful. Although it is quite a sweet smelling perfume, there is something quite sexy about it at the same time. Perfect for this time of the year, as it really is quite 'warm' for the winter months.

November has been of a blur for this blog, and therefore there has been a serious lack of posts. Soz about that, but university work had to take priority. However, I wanted to bring back some positivity to your grey Sunday, with a 'Five Happy Things' post!

1. The thought of seeing Justin Bieber again in 8 days time
If you have been reading 'Bambi Dreaming' for while now, or follow me on Twitter or Instagram, then you will probably know I love Justin Bieber and I can't wait to see him for the 6th time next Monday!!!

2. Discovering 'Urban Fruit'
On a spontaneous trip to Asda this morning, I found 'Urban Fruit' and oh my I have just finished a whole pack before I even got to my second 'happy thing'. I picked up the strawberry one, and basically they are baked strawberries and oh my are they good.

3. Reading
It feels so long since I last picked up a book that wasn't related to my university degree and got lost in some other world. Well, this afternoon I am going to pick up a book (probably Harry Potter, because who doesn't want to be transported to a magical world) and actually enjoy reading.

4. Sunday Roast Dinner
The great thing about living at home is my Mum's Sunday Roast Dinners. Today it is roast chicken and I'm so excited to delve into it later.

5. It's 5 weeks until Christmas!!
Yes, that is correct. This time in five weeks time it will be Christmas day!! Personally, I can't wait for the food; Roast turkey and all the trimmings.

If there has been one thing that I have learnt from writing this post, is that I really do love food!!!

What are your '5 Happy Things?'

We all have this protective bubble that we all try and stay within, but somethings you have just got to break that bubble and go out there and do something new.

During my first year of university I kinda stayed within that protective comfort zone bubble, except for trying out Dance and Pole Dancing, I did sod all. To be quite honest, I regret not joining a sports club and societies last year, because it would have made first year so much better. However, this year I have already stepped well out of my comfort zone and joined a sports club. Yes I have finally joined something at university and sticking with it!!!!!!

Now you are probably all thinking, 'well what then?' I joined Lacrosse. To be honest before I played it I had no idea what it was about. All I knew is you had some kinda stick with a net on the end of it and you played with a ball. I still don't really know the rules, or really how to play, except for shouting in the opposite teams face 'ON BALL' and it scares the hell out of them.

In all honesty, Lacrosse is fun.

I have been able to play in my first competitive sports game since I was about 12 (good old High School Netball days) and made new friends, and actually started exercising. Although I have come to the conclusion I am the unfit one, who fails to do a lap around half a pitch, but I am getting there and I am enjoying it.

Sometimes you just have to fight your fears and go and try something new. You may not want to, but the rewards will outweigh it all.

Have you done something out of your comfort zone lately?

Okay I have been a totally shit blogger the last month. I am blaming in on university, but the reality is I have just been lazy and couldn't be bothered. However, now I have my arse in gear again, heres a new blog post.

Now if you know me, you will know that I love Justin Bieber, and have done since 2009. Yes I am one of the original beliebers who has been to My World World Tour, This Is Justin Bieber (ITV), Believe Tour and now Purpose Tour. I was obsessed. I admit it. Now however, I still love him. I love his music, I love supporting him and I love seeing him live, but I am not that obsessed 13 year old I once was. Yes I went to the My World Tour dressed in Purple with my  Never Say Never purple 3D glasses and 'I heart Justin Bieber' hoodie, but times have changed and I am now 19, but man I felt like my 13 year old self on the 11th October.

To be honest I never thought I would be so close on the Purpose Tour. When I got my tickets 'B3, Row K', I just thought 'Year middle of 02, should be able to see if not I will look on the screen'. Hell no. I was the start of block 2 and three rows from the stage.

I was a mess. I frecked out when I got to my seats.

I just thought 'finally after 7 years I am this close to seeing him in concert'.

Okay I was in the second row for 'This Is Justin Bieber' in 2011, but there was only 500 people and it was for TV, not his own concert.

Anyway, lets get on to the photos....

As a girl with oily, acne-prone skin, finding the right skincare is often impossible, however since The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion has been in my life, them annoying little spots are no more.

That's a lie. I still get spots. Right now my chin has exploded in spots, but thats cool. However, The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion is my go to for destroying them little annoying white heads. Yes, gross, but guess what? We all get white heads and spots.

Now, if you have been reading my blog for a while, or follow me on Twitter, then you will already know I love The Body Shop Tea Tree Range, but this night lotion stands out for me. I have been using it now for about a year, and I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

As explained on The Body Shop website, this night lotion is a gel that you apply before bed to 'blemished skin', as it controls excess oil and sebum, and helps to fade the appearance of blemishes.

For me, I apply this throughout the day when I am not wearing make up and indoors, because otherwise I look like I have dribble on my chin, or weird white spots on my face. Not a good look. I simple add a same amount to the spot/blemished area, and let it do it's job. I don't tend to rub it as I feel it works better this way.

The Body Shop say to 'smooth into the face and neck in circular motions after cleansing, toning and serum. Use at night to compliment your daytime regime for blemished skin'. I however, only use it on the areas that need it. That is normal my chin and T-Zone area.

By only putting a small amount of product onto the area, it does help to reduce the apperance of the blemish and reduce the size.
A lot goes a long way. You don't need to use the whole bottle to get results. Even by using a pea sized amount, it works.

Okay, there isn't anything that bad about the night lotion, except the smell. If you are not a big fan of tea tree, then this probably isn't the one for you. It does have a very strong tea tree smell, which may not be a problem for some, but for others it may put you off.

Have you ever used this night lotion?

Do you have any skincare heros?

October seems to be a very popular month, everyone seems to love October and you know what I love it too. From the chillier days, autumn leaves, getting to buy new boots, and it being acceptable to have hot chocolates with all the trimmings, and you can't forget Lush and Halloween. As the new month comes in, I have a few goals.

1. Join a Club - I'm not talking about Brownies, because I'm not 8, but joining a Sports Club at University. I'm thinking Lacrosse, Cheerleading and Dance. Oh and Politics, because ya know, politics student and all.

2. Make Halloween Cupcakes - I'm talking chocolate cupcakes, with jam ozzing out of the middle and orange butter cream. Yep. Now I am hungry.

3. Get to 1000 followers on Instagram and Bloglovin - I have been stuck on the same number on both of them for a while, so give a girl a hand, and please follow me. Pretty please.

4. Drink more water when I am out - I need to start carrying a water bottle with me. At home, I will drink all the water, but when I am out I kinda forget to drink.

What are your October Goals?

We are in AUTUMN? How the hell has 2016 gone so quick, and I feel like I also repeat that in every monthly favourites, but really it will be October tomorrow, which means starting my second year of university, trying to apply for as many relevant summer internships as possible, halloween, lots of layers, the nights drawing in, the clocks doing back. It just all seems to be happening so quickly.

Monthly favourites? Oh yes, the actual point of this post.

L'Oreal Miss Hippie Waterproof Mascara

As mentioned in 'My Three to Try For September' post, if any of the three products really stood out for me, then I said I would include them in my monthly favourites. Sadly, at the moment only one of the three actually really stands out, but that doesn't mean I haven't been impressed with the other two products. However,  Miss Hippie mascara from L'oreal has been the one this month. I like to use this mascara as almost a 'base' for using another mascara. After curling my lashes I like to apply a thin layer of this mascara and damn does it hold the curl and make my lashes look long all day. Now that is what I am talking about. I don't know whether it is because it is waterproof, but it works. The only thing I don't like about it is the wand, for me it's just a bit too bendy and I am not a fan of bendy mascara wands.

L'Oreal True Match Highlighter

I have come to a conclusion that I really like L'oreal make up, hence why the second favourite also comes from them. This time it's their true match highlighter. I picked up this highlighter at the beginning of the month and everyday that I have worn make up since, this has been on my face. It is actually a '3 in 1' liquid glow illuminator, so you can use it as a primer, can blend in with foundation or just use as a highlighter. I prefer to use it as a primer. It gives me a really natural looking glow and doesn't make me look like my face is caky or spilling will grease and oil, which some products can do because of my oil skin. I have found that once I have applied this as a primer, then my foundation, then bloating my skin with a beauty blender wrapped in tissue paper it works really well and lats a lot longer by just bloating any excess oil on my skin.

OFAT 'Purple Rain' Nail Polish

Not going to lie but I have never heard of this brand until I got this nail polish with a birchbox at the beginning of the year. I had kinda forgotten about this nail polish (or is it varnish) until I wanted to change up the colours of my toe nails (yes them things) and found this in my stash. Now I know that nail polish on the toes seems to last forever, but I have now had this on my toes for 6 weeks and there isn't one chip. So well done OFAT. Also, it is in the most beautiful colour, which I feel could work very well on the fingers as well for autumn and winter.

Marc Jacobs 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' Lipstick

I simply couldn't write Septembers beauty favourites without mentioning one of my 'Current Go To Lipsticks', which most have featured in monthly favourites before, except for this one from Marc Jacobs. Yes, it isn't the most long lasting out there, but it is one of the lipsticks, whether it doesn't really matter if it wears off because it is basically the same colour of the lips just a little bit redder, thats all. Also it is a really good 'car size lipstick', it is the chosen lipstick to stay in my car now, for the days when I have been rushing and forget to put lipstick on.

Bridget Jones Baby

Okay so this isn't a beauty favourite, and I never talk about films on my blog, so really it is about time too. I just love this film, and it is damn right hilarious from the beginning till the end. Personally, I think it is the best of all three of the films. If you haven't watched it yet, then I will recommend that you do. Without giving too much away, but you will probably pick a side in the film.

The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey 'Closer'

I really can't stop listening to this song. It is literally on repeat all the time. It is probably because it is so catchy, but I am just really enjoying listening to this song.

What has been your monthly favourites?

There is something very autumnal about sitting down with a good book, a hot drink (preferably hot chocolate, with all the trimmings, but a cup of tea will also do), being able to hear the rain and having lots and lots of layers around you. Right now I am thinking of the film 'The Holiday' and that cozy cottage in some snowy part of surrey. Yep, but anyway, I always feel that I read more in autumn, and here are my three favourite 'autumnish' books at the moment.

Harry Potter

No matter what Harry Potter book you read, whether that is 'The Philosopher's Stone' or 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' or 'The Deathly Hallows', there is something very autumnal about them. Whether that is because of the magic and the Halloween connotations or because you get transported into a new world and get completely lost in the story. Whether you have never read the books, or have, then I feel like autumn is the best time to start reading or rereading them.

Dream a little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher

Okay I actually read this book in summer and by the bright colours on the front cover it seems to be quite summary. However due to the dreams the main character is having and the one bit of the book being set in Autumn and christmas, and the book being very well written, it really does capture you. You want to be in the world with her, and you want to know what happens next.

Looking for Alaska by John Green

Probably slightly controversial that this is my favourite John Green book, and the book I read the quickest out of all his books I have read. There is something about the scene of the book that makes me feel that this is a book to read in autumn. Set in boarding school, where the main character is new, it really does reflect being a teenager and the struggles of joining a new school. The book makes you want to read more, and the fact the book is set in two halves 'days before' and 'days after' it almost reflects how events, and different places and situations in life are divided.

What books will you be reading this autumn?
