AFTERNOON TEA IN LONDON

The idea of 'Afternoon Tea' feels so British and something that I have always wanted to do, so when I opened a card from my Auntie and Uncle on my birthday with a note inside that they had booked for me a friend to have afternoon tea I was so happy. Now I was told to take lots of photos, because they live in Australia and wanted some photos sent back to them, so I thought of the idea to also share some of the photos I took on my blog.

Please excuse the dirty mirror, but heres my OOTD!

So my best friend loves Harry Potter so we decided out first stop of the day would be the shop at Kings Cross Station. Now I am someone who has seen all the films but I have never read the books. I know its bad, but I did by the first book in the shop and have read it now.

The wand wall was truly magical!

We then went to Regent Street, Carnaby and Oxford street. We stopped in Hamleys, because you know its Hamleys and probably one of the best toy shops in the world. So we both got a picture with this bear.

After doing a bit of Shopping, we then headed to Doubletree by Hilton in Holborn for afternoon tea. It really doesn't look like there is loads here, but we could not finish it. The scones were heavenly and they were warm and yeah they were amazing.

Why not have a mirror selfie in the Toliets. Now I am tall, but my best friend is like 6 foot and was wearing heels so I look quite short.

We then decided that we wanted to be tourists and headed to Buckingham Palace. However, if you are thinking of changing at Bank if you are on the central line to get on the circle/district line to St. James Park, you basically have to walk like 10 minutes to get to Monument to get the circle line. Yeah, just change at Liverpool Street. It's easier.

We then walked down 'The Mall', we were actually going to go straight to Westminster but I had a shoe crisis and we went to the Topshop on the strand so I could but some shoes and some socks. Turns out leather sandals can also rub and heart like hell as well.

One of the things I love the most about London is the history.

So there you go, a day in London in pictures. Have you ever been for Afternoon Tea and where are your favourite places in London?

10 Things That I Have Learnt While Packing for University!

On Sunday I am moving to university and honestly I am quite excited about starting the next chapter in my life. However, while I have been packing up my bits and bobs and clothes for university I have learnt serval things about myself that I didn't even realise until i started looking in draws that have piles of stuff in them that I didn't know was there. So here goes!

1.  If I like a top, I will go out and buy it another three colours. So apparently I have a think for the same Jack Wills top (I even have it in two different pinks) and the Zara basic 'V' neck t-shirts, in which I have it in the exact same colour and style as a Hollister top.

2. Someone needs to stop me from buying Jack Wills tops in the sale. I don't need similar t-shirts just in the different colours 8 times. I have packed them all mind you.

3. I found it harder to pick out the shoes I wanted to take with me than picking out clothes. I am finding it quite hard to justify taking 5 pairs of converse, when in reality I only wear two pairs, but hey I might need my old yellow ones at some point in the year. Yeah, I really don't need to take them.

4. Don't pile up all your DVD's, they will fall down and go everywhere, as well as being surprisingly heavy. So even leaning them up against a book case still doesn't work and then they fall every where and it takes ages to pick them all up and actually put them back in the book case to store them all nice.

5. Rolling clothes over folding clothes (saves so much room). Why have I never thought of rolling all my clothes in the past, honestly I have so much room now for my excessive collection of jeans that I insist in taking as I wear them all.

6. I seem to have a collection of empty notebooks in random places. I must have about 30 of the things, just lying around in draws and cupboards with the occasionally page having a random drawing on, or a list.

7. I collect bags from shops, that quite frankly take up too much space and I never use them anyway. But the VS bags are just too pretty to throw in the bin. The hollister bags make excellent storage for presents before you have wrapped the presents up at christmas. The Jack Wills and Calvin Klein bags are very picturesque. Yeah I really don't need them as they are just hiding away in my wardrobe.

8. I need to stop buying shirts. Okay I have enough to get me through winter.

9. My collection of body con skirts from Pull&Bear and H&M is a lot bigger than I actually thought. So I have the same H&M body con skirt, in the same size may I add, times two of them. Don't get me started about the Pull&Bear ones, they are just so comfy.

10. I need to start putting photos in photo albums, inside of putting them in draws and then half go missing . Okay this is a real problem. I don't know if anyone else does this, but you get photos printed out and then they just say in the photo holder thing you get from like snappy snaps, tescos etc and then they never come out of them. Think I may need to invest in some photo albums or get some frames.

Stationary Haul | University Edition

Who doesn't love a haul? Well I thought I would do a little stationary haul as I have been buying some bits for when I start University. If you don't already know then I am moving to university in around 12 days time, so I feel this is perfect timing to do a stationary haul. I am actually taking some more stationary bits, but they are things that I already have.

Travel Bucket list: Europe

I love the idea of travelling and seeing different cultures, traditions, sceneries and history and its something that I have always wanted to do. I have been to a few countries within mainland Europe (Spain, Ibiza, Majorca, France, Belgium, Italy, Jersey and Gibraltar) where they are mainly holiday destinations. Like, I know of quite a few people that stayed at the same hotel in Ibiza (the San Miguel hotel and beach thing). I want to explore Europe and go to different cities and find cute little places and see the sights, instead of spending the whole time on a beach (don't get me wrong, I like to do that as well). In all honestly I would like to go and travel right now and see as much as possible, but that can't happen, so I have narrowed it down to 10 places that I would like to visit one day in Europe.

Barcelona, Spain:

Paris, France:

Rome, Italy:

Florence, Italy:

Budapest, Europe:

Amsterdam, Holland:

Santorini:

Berlin, Germany:

Monaco, Monte Carlo:

Edinburgh, Scotland:

What places do you want to visit in Europe?
