August Favourites 2015

It's come to that time of the month again where I look back at what I have been loving throughout the month. For me August has been a bit of a weird month. I got my A-Level results and got accepted into University which is surreal yet at the same time incredibly nerve wreaking at the same time. So let's get onto the monthly favourites.

1.  Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
I brought this last month while I was in Italy and I honestly wish I could go back in time and pick up the bigger bottle or a couple more bottles of this cleansing water. I find this perfect for not removing make up but for taking my foundation off before I cleanse my face. I also like to use it when I wake up before I was my face especially if I am going to have breakfast before I get ready for the day as it just helps to remove some of the grit and over night sweat from my face.

2. L'Oreal True Match Foundation
I absolutely love this foundation. I feel it gives me just the right amount of coverage and now I have a tan on my face it is no longer too dark. I winter I just didn't want to wear it because it was slightly too dark but now I am basically using it everyday. I have actually gone out and brought it now in a slighlty lighter colour for the winter months.

3. Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer
This moisturiser is so smoothing and it is only in the last couple of weeks that I have started to use it again. I did use it while I was on holiday as I forgot my daily moisturiser but then just forgot about it. I will defiantly be thinking about buying the bigger size as this is only a travel size.

4. Boots Essentials Eye Make Up Remover Gel
This product has been meaning to go in a monthly favourites now for so long. I use to every day to remove my eye make up. It is really smoothing and I haven't had any products with it what so ever. Also, it lasts for such a long time. I think I have been daily using this eye remover since around the end of January and I still have about 1/4 left. I will defiantly be re purchasing this product in the next couple of months. Also, it is so cheap compared to other make up removers.

So what are your monthly favourites?

A Week of #OOTD 2

I feel like Instagram is almost the home of 'Outfit Of The Day' posts or should I say photos, although you do see them on a range of different blog posts and on some YouTube videos. I love the idea of sharing what you have worn in a day or a week or for a special occasion. It not only gives people an idea of your style but also gives people new ideas about how they can add new items to their wardrobe. So over the last week I decided to take a snap of what I have been wearing each day this week (I may have forgotten a day or three) even if I haven't left the house, I have actually stayed in these outfits all day.

Daniel Wellington Classy St Mawes

I have lusted and lusted over this watch now for what seems likes months and then for my birthday my Dad order me one. Now some of you might have read the story here about how I got the watch and if not going and read it, there are some pictures of Venice in there as well.

First thing is first: the packaging! I love a good old nicely presented box with something beautiful inside and this box is beautiful. I was really surprised that it actually had leather on the box as well. A lot of the time you just et a bog standard black box with the name of the brand engraved in.

The Strap: For me a strap has to be leather, I am not into all that metal or plastic. Plus if I had a metal strap like the Michael Kors watches, the watch and the strap would over power as it would be far too big for me. The strap on the Classy St Mawes is leather and it is quite narrow, which is great if you have narrow wrists. Also, there is already enough holes. On some watches you either have to have links taken out or you need another hole put in and that can be annoying. Also, the straps are interchangeable, which is something that I really like. At the moment I only have one strap but I would defiantly consider getting another strap if I fancy a different look.

The little things: What I like is that you can chose between rose gold and silver for case colour. I chose rose gold, simply because I have a little obsession with rose gold and also because I think it goes better with brown that sliver and more classy.

Why I got the watch? The watch was a birthday present. Also, I didn't actually own a watch that worked, so everytime I went to work I would have to borrow my mums which probably really annoyed her. Therefore I needed a watch for work as the only clock is on the tills and unless you are serving you don't know what time it is.

Any Cons? The only thing I would say that I don't particularly like about this watch is the stones inside the watch. I would have preferred numbers or roman numerals but that is only something very little and I am being quite picky. However, I have got used to it now and it doesn't bother me. Apart from that I can really not find any other cons about this watch.

Overall score: I would probably give this watch a 5/5 simply because I am in love with it and it is very photogenic. If you are looking to buy a watch that looks elegant yet is simple I would definitely recommend this watch.

The 'Pink Plaids'

 Dare You

The 'New' Ones:

 Fast Play

Top to Bottom: Syrup, Twig, Fast Play, Pink Plaid, Pink Plaid, Dare You, Brave, Lovelorn.

When I was younger I used to have a book called 'Amazing Grace', it was about a ballerina and my mum used to read it to me before bed and I really really liked it. The same goes for this amazing lipstick called 'Amazing Grace', by Charlotte Tilbury.

I wasn't actually planning on buying a lipstick, but going into Selfridges on my birthday I ended up at the Charlotte Tilbury counter and getting this gorgeous lipstick. It's a summery lipstick and looks quite perfect with nude eyes to add colour to the face. Honestly, I love it.

This "corally pink" coloured lipstick is simply perfect and even though its a matte it is not drying which is something that I love about her lipsticks.

Next up on the wish list is 'Love Liberty' which I wanted to add to my very small collection of Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks at 2.

Hi Guys!

So for todays post I thought I would do something slightly different. I love cooking and baking and these brownies seem to always go down very well and plus they are very easy to make.

150g of Butter
200g of Dark Chocolate
50g of Milk Chocolate
1 tablespoon of ground Cinnamon
175g of brown sugar
75g of Gluten free plain flour (can also use normal flour as well)
3 eggs
75g of ground Almonds

nuts of your choice

1. In a bowl that will sit on a small saucepan with simmering water, place the butter, the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate in it. Stirring  the butter and chocolate mixture occasionally until it has melted and is smooth. Take off heat and allow to cool slightly.

Melted Chocolate
2. In another bowl add the sugar and the cinnamon and pour the chocolate mixture over the top. Then with an electric whisk mix the two together.

Raspberries, Flour, Sugar and Cinnamon
3. While you are still mixing add one egg at the time to the mixture.

4. Sieve the flour over the top of the chocolate/sugar mixture and then using a wooden spoon beat the mixture together until it is smooth. Then add the almonds.

5. At this stage you can add in extras. I like to add in fresh raspberries, but you could add in nuts or whatever you like or just leave them plain.

6. Pour the mixture into a deep square baking tray that is greased and has been lined with baking paper.

7. Cook for around 30 to 40 minutes at 170 degrees.

8. Cut once cooled.

9. Enjoy and serve!
