July Favourites

It's that time of the month again, the time when I write about the things I have been loving in July. I feel like my monthly favourites don't really change, but I do tend to rediscover some bits and bobs or buy a few things and fall in love with them, so here goes:

My Daniel Wellington watch has been talked about in my Italy posts and it has now made my monthly favourites. I love this watch. It looks simply elegant on this wrist and as I have quite small wrists that face does not over power my arm. I am probably going to write a review on this watch in a couple of weeks to give more details about this beautiful watch that I have been wearing every single day.

'Daisy Eau so Fresh' has been coming out a few times this month. It is such a perfect summery scent that lasts the whole day. Sometimes at work I will occasionally get a whiff of the beautiful scent throughout the day. Plus, on a rainy day (yep we have had a few of them) it can really help to make it feel like you are smelling like summer although the weather does not show it.*

Victorias Secret sprays have been a favourite of mine now for well over a year. I LOVE them, and recently for my birthday I got brought four of these lovely sprays. I have to admit my favourite has to be 'Passion Struck'. It smells divine and I have been spraying it on all the time, especially as a refresh throughout the day.*

Okay I have a little obsession with this one. It's a game and its 'Hill Climb' for iPhone. I have been addicted to this game for around 2 months now and its the only game on my phone. I am not one for games but this one is addictive, yet very simple and its free!

I have always really liked Rimmel nail polishes and before my holiday I wanted to get a summery colour that wasn't to expensive (hi Essie varnishes) that I could take away with me. I decided to pick up the colour 'Wild-er-ness' (558) in the Rita Ora Collection. This is like the perfect lilic and it is quite long lasting, so I only re done them once when I was away. I have also found myself go back to the colour again throughout the month. It does chip a bit but that is probably because of work.

*I am sorry for the lack of photos, but I updated my computer and I can no longer access iPhoto so I can't download photos on to my computer. I will update my computer again so I can try and download photos for future posts.

Wishlist | Fashion

I have this thing with dresses, especially Missguided dresses. Missguided always do such a nice collection of dresses and I have never had a problem with quality from them. Now this wasn't going to be a dress wish list but it has kinda gone that way. I was just looking through my pinned photos for this post and everything was dresses except for some trousers, as I am in desperate need to get a pair of black trousers because I fail at owning a pair. Actually, I think the last pair of black trousers I owned was about 4 years ago for school. This wish list isn't necessary a summer wish list, it is more of a "I have browsed online and pinned stuff that I want' wish list. I hope you enjoy my picks.

The next part of this wish list is SHOES! You can never have too many shoes and I actually find it really hard when browsing online to find shoes that I like. I am quite fussy and I may see something online that I really like and then go to buy them or see them in store and hate them. Also, I really don't like plastic shoes, you know that ones that you can tell are made of plastic just by touching them. Yes, all the shoes on this wish list are black, but you can never go wrong with black.

The Reading List Summer 2015

I'm not the biggest reader around but I do love to read. I mean I didn't take English Literature at A-Level not to read, I just tend to read half a book then forget about it and then come back to it 6 months later. However, I do really want to read a few books over the summer, so I have taken inspiration from Instagram and scaled Amazon to create a Wish list/Reading List. I know I won't read them all and I need to buy some first but I am going to try a few and hopeful this post will inspire me to go a buy a few books (probably on payday).

1. 'Yes Please' by Amy Poehler
2. 'It' by Alexa Chung
3. 'We All Looked Up' by Tommy Wallach
4. 'Thirteen Reasons Why' by Jay Asher
5. 'Extraordinary Means' by Robyn Schneider
6. 'I'll Give You the Sun' by Jandy Nelson
7. 'If I Stay' by Gayle Foreman
8. 'All the Bright Places' by Jennifer Niven

Is there any books on your summer wish list?

Italy Photobook

Hi Guys!

This blog post is a follow up from 'Italy Haul' and 'Holiday Outfit Diary'. This time I have moved away from the beauty and fashion side and just decided to focus on the beauty of Italy itself. This post is going to mainly a reminder for me or my holiday. Also, if you have ever wanted to visit or have Venice or Italy on you to go to list this will give you an insight into how beautiful and fascinating the country really is. Please remember I only went to one part of Italy and Italy is a big counter. For me I still want to go to Rome, Florence etc etc etc.

My 18th, London and a mini haul: A Photo Vlog

Hi Guys!

I mentioned in my 'What I Got for My Birthday' Post that I would be writing about what I did for my 18th. I wanted to try and create something similar to a Vlog but I don't have a Youtube and I don't have that type of confidence to do something like that. So instead this is like a photo vlog, okay so it's basically just a few photos.

Saturday 4th July 2015:

My parents had booked up to see 'Wicked' in London. This had been a musical on my wish list for a while now. I had heard people saying how good it was and I can honestly see why people say that. For me it wasn't my favourite but I still think it was incredible. From the staging, to the costumes and to the singing. West End shows always have the class and do make you come out smiling from just watching them.

Sunday 5th July 2015:

The day of my birthday, wooooooooooo!!! I actually stayed over night in a Premier Inn near Holborn, so quite close to Covent Garden and the main part of the West End. I LOVE Premier Inn breakfast, I don't know what it is about it but I just loved it and as it was my birthday I thought I would just have a cooked breakfast. Normally if I stay in a hotel I will just have baked beans and scrambled eggs and a croissant as I love croissants. The croissants in the hotel in Italy were like the best I had ever tasted, but the ones in the Premier Inn were nearly up there.

After opening my presents and having breakfast, we made our way to Oxford Street. I wanted to go to Selfridges as I hadn't been in their in a few years and I wanted to pick up another charlotte Tilbury lipstick. I picked up 'Amazing Grace' which is like a pinky coral colour, so I was thinking summery.

We then headed to Regant Street where there was some sort of Garden Party thing going on, with singers and stalls etc, so they close the road off to traffic. The reason why we headed to Regant Street is because I wanted to go to the Jack Wills and Brandy Melville in Carnaby Street area. The Jack Wills down there is possible my favourite one. If I am in London I will also go to that one over the Covent Garden one. I was going to buy some boyfriend jeans in the sale but they didn't have my size, so I brought a pair of joggers in pink instead. I love their joggers, although I wish they were slightly longer.

In Brandy Melville I picked up three tops that were not black. This is a first for me. I went for some colour by getting a all red one, a red and white one and a plain red top.

We then headed back to the hotel to freshen up before going for a meal at Planet Hollywood. I had been their before and had the exact same meal as what I had before, which is the sizzling chicken wraps. They are very good. I also had my first legal drink which was some sort of cocktail.

After the meal, we went to Covent Garden and I walked past the Calvin Klein which had a massive photo of Justin Bieber outside and inside, they also had a sale on, so I went instead and brought a bra. It was in the sale and I wouldn't have brought it at full price and it was my birthday.

That is mainly it, except for the train journey home which was just a mess. There was a problem on a line some where so there was only one train going back in which had people on that were going to a range of different locations, so it was packed. When the train went off it then kept stopping from quite a long time at different stations. Then when we did get off we had to change. Normally it is a direct train. So it took about an hour longer than it should have been. We were quite luckily as we got the station like 50 minutes before our train otherwise we would have missed the earlier train which we had to catch, otherwise we would have been waiting in london for like another 3 hours.

I hope you enjoyed this type of post.

Venice Haul!

Hi Guys!

A few weeks ago I went to Italy and absolutely loved every second of being there. I have been to italy before and actually the same part and its just beautiful. So for todays post i thought I would do a little italy haul. It's basically the bits and bobs that I got out in Italy and also at the airport.

So the first two items come from Gatwick Airport. I knew I wanted a few things that I had been eyeing up for a while no. I really wanted a palette from MAC but they were all sold out, which was kinda annoying. So instead I decided to buy two MAC lipsticks due to them being slightly cheaper that £15.50. I got 'Twig' and 'Syrup', originally I only picked up syrup but then went back for twig. I prefer twig slightly more simply because it is more of a browny pick, whereas syrup almost looks like its just a gloss on the lips.

Next up is a mack from Venice. The last time I went I got a pink and gold mask and I knew I wanted to get another one but next in a different colour. So I got a blue and sliver one.

On the day before I came home, me and my parents went to Treviso and also went wine tasting. While we were in Treviso by accident I found the sephora. I wasn't even looking for it, I was actually looking for a shop that sold Daniel Wellington watched because the exchange rate was so good they were like £40 cheaper in the eurozone than what they are back at home. So in Sephora I picked up the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01, a Sephora Rouge Shine lipstick in 30 and the Sephora triple action cleansing water. I knew I wanted the lip stain and the cleansing water before I even knew there was a sephora were I was going but they were in my basket.

Due to the exchange rate being 1.41 I decided to buy myself a Pandora bracelet and charm. The bracelet was $59 euros which made it only £40, which saved me like £15. I also got a gondola charm as I was very near to Venice where I was staying and I had been on a gondola only two days before. It's almost like a reminder of my trip to Venice.

The last thing that I brought was a bracelet made from Murano glass, which is one of the islands in the lagoon that surrounds Venice.
