March Favourites!

I honestly can not believe it is Easter in a week, like it feels like yesterday it was Christmas. It just doesn't feel that we have nearly reached the end of March, but that does mean it is the time of the month where the favourites come out.

MAC 'Fast Play' Lipstick: This is my first 'amplified' lipstick from MAC as I normally stick to lustre or matt, but I surprisingly love this lipstick. What I love about it is that it does last after you eat, which some just come off after taking one bite. Also, it is not drying and for me at the moment if i even try and wear a matt it's like a playground for chapping my lips. Overall, very pleased with this purchase although it was only last week every day I have worn lipstick this week it has been this one.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: I am so on this hype for this product. Honestly I love it. It just takes off my make up easily, it doesn't break me out and it leaves my skin feel smooth. I don't know why I haven't mentioned this product before, but I know why so many people love this cleansing water. I don't tend to use it for taking off mascara as I use an eye make up remover, but for taking off foundation etc it truly is so good.

The Body Shop 'Pink Grapefruit' Hand Cream: Okay, the smell is a bit over powering and some people will not like the smell but I do. What I love about this hand cream is that it doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy, which is awful if I put on another hand cream before class and then i'm like 'i can't hold the pen or write'. Not good. This on the other hand does not put me in this situation. Plus I love the packaging, it's great hand bag size.

NIP + FAB 'Glycolic Fix Cleanser': I have been trying out some new cleansers lately because I used to always use the same Soap&Glory one and most of the time it would just make me break out. This one has to be a new favourite. It doesn't break me out or anything like that and it works so quick. I have easily seen an improvement in my skin. Also, you don't need a lot. I have been using this now for around three or four weeks or maybe slightly longer and I have harpy used any. It's not harsh on your skin. Love it.

NIP+FAB 'Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask': Another Nip+Fab product I know. This face mask just makes my skin feel amazing. I would say I use it around 2 to 3 times a week, especially when my face is feeling groggy and make up just doesn't look good on my skin. You leave this one for 10 minutes, wash it off, I then put a moisturiser on and my skin generally feels great. I wouldn't suggest it you are allergic to bees because you might react.

Topshop 'Celestrial' Nail Paint: I don't know if they still do this polish because I think its around two years old. First things first I love blue nail varnish more than I love any other colour for your nails and when I found this beauty in my collection I was like 'yes you are coming out for spring'. By the way its not on my nails in the photo, thats a Barry M one. This is slightly lighter than the Barry M one, but I love the finish you get with some Topshop ones.

Barry M 'Road Rage' Nail Paint: Another nail paint. This is more blue that what it looks like, I was expecting a greeny pastel colour, but in fact I was surpsied by how blue it was. I would say its more of a light blue. I can that this is my favourite from their new collection, simply because of the colour.

That's it for the March Favourites, but I have also been loving M&M's, Topshop Jeans and the ASOS website.

What have you been loving this month?

My Top 5 Nail Products

Hi Guys!

Okay, I didn't really know what to call this post because some call it nail polish, some varnish and I was like 'I don't know', so thats why it's called 'products' when its just polish.

5. Max Factor GlossFinity in Forever Glam
I literally lived in this colour last summer and I probably will be this year as well. It's such a summer colour. When I was growing up I would only wear pink nail varnish but as I have grown older I am not so keen. What I love about Max Factor that it does basically stay for 7 days, like it states on the bottle.

4. Max Factor MaxEffect in Cappuccino
This is quite a nude colour but you do need quite a few layers. I am not sure if its because it's quite light and I like mine quite dark but who knows.

3. Barry M Nail Paint in Berry Cosmo
I did mention this product in my January Favourites, I think. I love this colour. It's not my favourite at the moment but it is certainly a go to when I am not feeling my favourite two.

2. Max Factor GlossFinity in Cobalt Blue
This last year was hardly off my nails. It is so perfect. I love it. As you can see I am not great at describing nail varnish. I haven't worn it as much this year. I think I love this colour so much because it is basically the same colour as my prom dress, although I didn't have this back in July 2013.

1. Essie in Fishnet Stockings
Oh My. I don't know how I haven't had this product in any of my favourites yet. I originally got it the week before christmas and basically since then it hasn't really come off. I have even been asked if I was wearing gels when I was wearing this once. It doesn't chip that much. I just love the colour.

The colour on my nails is this colour

So what are your favourite nail products?

On an extra note, how cute are the New Barry M pastel nail varnishes!

February Favuorites 2015

Hi Guys!

I feel like this post should have been a couple of weeks ago. I just can't believe we are already in March, like before we know it we will be in the Summer and then Christmas.

Beauty:

EOS Lip Balm: This has been my lifesaver. I haven't been wearing much lipstick last month but my lips were so dry so I would just use this. Plus it smells so great.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: I don't know why I haven't mentioned this product before in a favourites. I LOVE this dry shampoo. I always go for the 'blush' one (its the pink) bottle. It is so good. I  also really like the smell of this one.

Benefit 'Roller Lash' Mascara: I haven't always been a mega fan of benefit because I don't like how hyped up their products do become. However, this mascara is amazing. My lashes look great. It's not hard to remove like 'they're real', it stays on all day. Just a really nice mascara.

Fashion:

Topshop Woolly Textured Oviod Jacket: This literally missed the January favourites by a day. I just adore this coat. I can't really say much else about it.

Stationary:

Sharpies: I love sharpies, they are amazing. I have only just started using them again for revision and have fallen back in love with them.

Food:

I ate out quite a lot in February/ end of January, but out of the four major places we went I love Chiquitos. I had never been there before and honestly I don't really know what I was expecting but I love mexican food.

Baking Corner: Cookies

Hi Guys!

I know I don't normally post on a Friday, but I had to share these cookies with you.
They are heavenly.

Ingredients:
- 225g of Self Raising Flour
-100g of Brown Sugar
-60g of Caster Sugar
- 125g of Unsalted Soft Butter
- A teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
- 1 Egg (lightly beaten)
- I table spoon of cinnamon for the Chocolate Chip Cookies
- A hand full of M&Ms
- A hand full of Skittles
- A hand full of Chocolate Chips

Step One:
Add the butter and sugars to a big bowl. (I say big bowl because I tried in a small bowl and it was a disaster). Then with your hands cream the two ingredients together.

Step Two:
Add the beaten eggs and vanilla essence to the creamed butter and sugar mixture and mix/fold in.

Step Three:
Shift the self raising flour into the mixture. Then using your hands make a dough with the ingredients.

Step Four:
Separate the mixture into thirds. Put each third into a different bowl.

Step Five:
To each bowl add a different ingredient. In one bowl I had M&Ms, the other Skittles, and the other Cinnamon and chocolate chips.

Step Six:
Fold the extra ingredients into the cookie dough.

Step Seven:
Grease the baking tray and cover with baking paper.

Step Eight:
Making small little balls with the cookie dough. Mine had the diameter of around 5cm.

Step Nine:
I cooked mine separately. Also, when placing the cookies on the baking tray make sure they are spread out.

Step Ten:
Cook at 180 for around 8-15 minutes. When you take them out they should be golden around the outside. My first bake took around 15 minutes because the oven had to heat up, but the third time they only took about 8 minutes to cook.

Step Eleven:
One they are cooked leave them on the baking tray for a round 2-3 minutes so they hold their shape. Then put them onto a cooling rack and allow them to cool.

Enjoy!
